ECEC serves children from 18 months of age to kindergarten entry. We have an average daily attendance of 180 children.

We accept children year-round as space becomes available. To begin the process, please complete our inquiry and tour request form. If there is not a current opening for your child, we will place your family on our waitlist and contact you when a space becomes available.

Please note: priority on the waitlist is given to currently enrolled families (siblings) and Shaker Heights residents. We strongly encourage interested families to submit an application and schedule a tour of the Center so you’re ready when a spot opens. Once you have completed a Tuition Agreement with ECEC, all required paperwork and fees must be submitted and paid at least two weeks prior to your child’s start date. This ensures both your family and our staff can focus on your child’s transition—not last-minute paperwork. Any changes to your forms should be shared with the ECEC office immediately so we always have accurate, up-to-date information.

Per state licensing guidelines, your child’s medical form must be renewed every 12 months while enrolled at ECEC. This is for the safety of your child and all children in our care.
